In 1987 the first livery introduced was for "Brasso Metal Polish" and it was painted blue with a white roof and black chassis.

Livery: (Tampo)
'BRASSO' in white on red disc with yellow surround on white sun burst effect covering both sides of van.
'METAL POLISH' in yellow on both cab doors.

Variations/Rarities: The Brasso liveried van had a casting modification to the roof to stop it from being distorted when it was ejected from the casting machine. Two triangular braces were cast into the roof above the seats, All subsequent models had the modified roof fitted.
One later issue has a slightly lighter red background for the "Brasso" emblem.
The Brasso issue normally had a Made in Macau baseplate but the final 1991 issue had a Made in China baseplate.
There were no rare issues.

Chinese-six: In 1991 the 'Brasso' had a short run at the new factory in China as a special order for Poland. However, due to Polish political and economic problems, the order was cancelled and matchbox decided to distribute the models to Woolworths and Tesco stores in the UK. Together with five others from the range, these six models became known as the "Chinese six".
